After a long time I called one of my good friends, she didn’t receive the call. She called me back after dinner and told me that her daughter’s online classes were going on during the day. I asked the reason behind her not so joyful voice. She explained to me about her problem “Online classes and increased screen time of her kids”.

Due to this pandemic, every organization is going online either for work or studies. Every parent loves their kids more than anything else in the world. Most of them don’t want their little bundle of joy to jump in the middle of the COVID-19 cluster. It’s been several months that we are dealing with this pandemic. Most of the jobs switched to online portals and studies also shifted to online studies. There are many benefits of online classes, still thousands of parents all over the world are not happy with homeschooling. We are here with some of those insane reasons from which parents are not satisfied with online classes.

  1. Increased Responsibility

    As a parent, I agree that we can not be relaxed after leaving the kid behind in a corner. They need all-time attention either studying or playing. Your involvement time could be less or more as per their age but you can not be relaxed. So for online classes at least you have to set up a laptop, headphones, and a quiet room for smooth classes.
  2. More stressed kids

    Nothing has stopped neither activities, homework, models, assignments nor subject projects. Kids are managing everything from home. If you spend most of the time in a room after some time you might feel anxious. The same is happening with kids also.
  3. No “ME” time for parents

    Earlier the responsibility of teaching kids was divided between teacher and parents. Now the work and burden are more on parents, which is minimizing their “ME” time.
  4. Maximized Screen time

    There is a visible difference in kids’ eyes issues. They are not used to watching laptop and mobile screens for such a long duration. Also for all the projects and craft activities most of the parent are dependent on YouTube and other platforms which is accessible through phone and internet.
  5. Classwork=>Homework

    Now classwork assignments are also added to the home task. It does not mean that teachers are not working hard, but they are unable to handle everything during online classes.

    These were a few reasons which are behind stressed parents with homeschooling. I am very sure the readers of this blog would have amazing ideas for this solution.

    Most important this is a completely new process for kids and teachers both. With the ease of sitting at home and studying at the same time is also remarkable. Every new process takes some time to be accepted properly. Hope parents, teachers, and students will soon be habitual to this process.
